We compared each year with the year before: did more rain some months back go with a higher or lower price (and supply) now?
Rain totals don’t show everything. A very hot day here is one in the hottest tenth for that spot (above about 29 °C). A dry spell is a run of days with less than 1 mm of rain. As with rain, each year is compared with the year before.
The picking season runs from August to March. Each row shows the rain that grew that season’s crop, how much cardamom came to auction, and the average price.
